What we build

Daxeon reads the messages and the accounts joining your server, and acts where you tell it to. Chat filters take out scam links, invites to fake servers, crypto addresses, and more. Name and avatar checks catch accounts dressing up as your moderator. When a known scammer joins, they are immediately banned. Verification and an account age minimum keep throwaway accounts out. And so much more.

All of it is a switch. Which filters run, which roles skip them, what happens when one trips, you set per server. The docs cover every setting.

Why it exists

Discord built its moderation tools for spam and slurs. The attack that costs a community money is quieter than that. Someone copies a moderator's display name and avatar, waits for a member to post a support question, and answers first with a link to a wallet drainer. By the time a human notices, the money is gone.

Admins should get to spend their evenings in their own community. Daxeon works the hours they cannot.

Where it came from

Josh Marchand wrote the first version in a college dorm room, for a handful of Cardano servers that scammers kept hitting. Other servers asked for it. Four years of that shipped under the name SecurityBot, and the same codebase runs today as Daxeon.

Josh has been a software engineer for five years and writing code for fifteen. He still does most of the work on Daxeon, and he writes the security breakdowns on the blog.

Daxeon is built by Agathos Labs. SecurityBot LLC is still the contracting entity in our Terms and Privacy Policy.

How we operate

You are giving a bot administrator access to your server. Here is what we do with it.

How we make money

Subscriptions. That is the whole list. We do not sell your data or your members' data, and nobody can pay us to let a domain past a filter.

What we store

We store your configurations, unique Discord IDs, and moderated content for continued improvement. Ask us and we will send you your copy or delete it.

Why we ask for Administrator

In order to provide the best level of security, Daxeon needs the ability to read and delete messages, ban and kick members, view channels, manage webhooks, and more. Administrator permissions allow that to happen.

Where it falls short

We spend our days worrying about scams so you don't have to. However, sometimes Daxeon may miss the mark. If that happens, please report the scam in our Support Discord and we will make sure it does not happen again.

Who we protect

148 communities run Daxeon today, including Midnight Network, SundaeSwap Community, Market Moves, jpg.store | Cardano NFT Marketplace, Shinkai, and Clay Nation. If yours is one of them, thanks. The free tier runs the same bot with a daily cap on filter actions, and it never expires.
